So I am trying to find a clean solution to isolate my aux battery. I have a winch.

My JL aux cable has the plate on it, and the main ground is connected directly to the tiny screw on the smart charger. Leaving little space to connect winch+main ground cables.

I ordered these battery terminal brackets, and I wired stuff this way. I am planning to also connect the aux cabe to the remaining bolt with a 600amp switch so I can disconnect or connect aux if needed (if main dies for example).

I am worried this bracket would create too much electrical resistance. What do you guys think, is this safe?

That ground plate looks plenty beefy and creates a very short and direct current pathway. (I'm assuming its solid brass and not brass plated steel.) If the connections are clean and tight there should be no issue. Note how much larger the plate is than the battery clamp or the cable terminations that attach to it.

Keep in mind also that the large loads occur individually, and are of limited duration - e.g. the starter is very high current but is short duration, and does not occur simultaneously with winching. And a winch has a limited duty cycle to protect itself from overheating internally.

If you want to verify it, winch yourself up your driveway or similar and verify that the ground plate temperature remains acceptable. The winch is going to be the largest and longest duration load on the entire system.

Depends on alloy of brass used, if it is "yellow brass" it has about 12% of the conductivity of copper. Even the best brass alloy is only around 30-40 percent of copper.

As Tim wrote, if it doesn't get too hot under load and the voltage drop is acceptable you should be OK.
