Koons in Northern Virginia has a huge selection and a pretty good dealer to work with (Scott Wasserman). You could take the $99 bus down and then drive your new ride back home....
Thanks i was looking at koons but was not a fan of having to use their financing as i understand it. even though you could switch after a couple months.

Yeah, I don't blame you. I bought mine at Lustine in Woodbridge VA and it was a horrible experience. Very high pressure. I just got the Sport S (first jeep) and I love it. I would just keep looking on Cars.com....fun and easy website...

Hello Jeepers....I’m new member here from the UK.

I just got myself a JLUR in Mojito! It’s an ex dealer demonstrator with just 600 recorded miles. Waiting time for a factory order is 6-9 months, I don’t have that much patience!

I’ve lurked here and learnt a lot from your combined wisdom. Your enthusiasm for the Jeep brand has definitely influenced my decision.

Thank you for having me.

Hello Forum!

I've been sneaking and sniping on here for a few weeks now, poaching all the good ideas. My wife (@BbyGrlJJ ) and I just ordered our new JLs yesterday and cant wait to get moving on a build thread....should be a good one! We are coming from a few different Jeeps between us: TJ, KJ, 2 WKs, JKU. Now JLs for us JLs (our initials are JL, so it's just meant to be). Cant wait to drop more money. 2 Rubicons coming our way. Looking forward to the collaboration!! :muscle::fist bump::like::jk:

2018 JLU Sport
Hello Fellow Jeep Wavers,
So I pulled the trigger on a new JLU this past October after going 12+ years without a 4x4 convertible to drive. This is my 3rd Wrangler following a 91 YJ that I had a lot of fun with over the years and a 2003 TJ that I only owned for a year...

This is my daily driver and I decided to get a manual Sport and when I say manual, I mean from the trans (love the 6 speed) to the door locks and windows. My kids didn't even know what it meant to 'crank' up the window but they do now. They can't wait for me to take the doors off and get the top down for summer.

I did find one through a local deal that matched those key needs and it had the anti-slip on the rear axel + tow package which is a nice feature for the future. I wasn't sold on most of the color options but I picked the Sting Gray after seeing it on a Charger at the local deal (just under a different name).

I've already added some RedRock side step/rocker guards and I'll be looking for an upgrade on the wheels (not sure if I'll do a Mopar lift or not) and more.

Having a site like this to get ideas and see the feedback from others is very cool - I wish this would have been possible back in the late 90s when I had more time to devote to wrenching on a Jeep.

Thanks to those who host this site.

- B

I got the Jeep bug last year, I wanted a basic Wrangler with manual and roll up windows, just a back to basics Jeep. I had to go with the Unlimited for the pups to have room. A basic Jeep with manual was hard to find and dealers weren’t giving much. Fortunately a dealership had a manual Sport S with the audio upgrade and they needed one more sale to make their 2018 numbers, I got an incredible deal on the last sale of the year for them.

This is my weekend vehicle, yet I find myself anxious to drive it during the week. Something about the open air truck-like ride. I had to replace the stock highway tires, no plans on a lift so kept close to stock. With no suspension upgrades planned, wanted to keep the front end light so got the Rock Hard full width aluminum Patriot bumper so I could mount a synthetic rope winch. I’m finding spending money on her can be addictive!

I took her to Citrus Wildlife Management Area yesterday and found out what a beast these things are. The couple times I did get stuck I just backed down the hill and tried again.

This forum has provided a wealth of information and I appreciate everyone taking time to help others.
