2020 JLUR aka My Money Pit
Hey all! New to the forum, have had my 2020 JLUR for about a year now and love it. Of course running into all of the common issues associated with this model but not turning back, just addressing them as the issues come up. Been modifying as well as maintaining the vehicle. At 67k on the clock, already replaced the oil filter adapter with updated Mopar unit, added a Baxter oil filter adapter while I was at it. Now Iโ€™m looking into the intake cam issues as I believe I am hearing a slight tick at idle. Anyway, Iโ€™ve already done most of the mods I care to do to it at the moment so now Iโ€™m focusing on improving longevity and itโ€™s taking priority. I look forward to the wealth of knowledge this forum has to offer!!! Hereโ€™s some pics of โ€œRoxieโ€ when I bought her and where sheโ€™s at now. Got her with a 2โ€ RC puck lift and 315x70x17 tires other than that she was stock. Now- 3.5โ€ JKS J-Krawl lift/ 37x12.5x17 Yoko Geolanders/ 1.75โ€ Spidertrax spacers/ 4.88s/ Spintech muffler with resonator delete/ K&N CAI/ Genrite narrow fenders and inner fenders/ DV8 front and rear bumpers and front skid/ Tazer Mini/ Pedal Commander/ 10lb Power Tank mounted on the C-Pillarโ€ฆ. Iโ€™m sure Iโ€™m forgetting stuff but the list keeps growing lol

Welcome to the Forum, from Cave Creek AZ.
Congrats on your new to you wrangler! Nice looking Ride:clap:

As for wrangler issues, yep, many of any brand of vehicle have them today. Quality through-out the auto industry has really been lacking. Hopefully the auto industry will wake up and do something about it. But you have the right attitude, repair whatever is needed, and then move on. We all need to enjoy what we have.:)

Hey peoples, names Jack. I hail from the PNW. Western Washington, Mason county. Please don't hold that against me. I've been lurking around since Apr. I've been fixing or building things my whole life. Everthing from Harleys to heavy equipment. I have a 19' JLUR 2.0T. (Yes I dig the 4banger. Smokes my buddies 3.6L) mild lift 3.5"MC, just slapped on some 39"tires, chromo shafts, 5.13's, You know typical things. It's way nicer than any Jeep I've ever owned in the past. Here is a few pics.

Hey guys! New member here. Long story short, I am about to pull the trigger on a 2026 Rubicon X in white 2-door. Currently driving a 2025 Jeep Trailhawk 4XE in white. This would be about my 8th Jeep but never actually had a โ€œJeepโ€ I guess you can say. All I have owned was Cherokees/Grand Cherokees. I am either going to get one thatโ€™s off a lot I see or actually order one. I got offers on both. I will keep you guys posted. Very excited. They look awesome and excited to hit some trails. One question for now though, I am 6โ€™3 about 200lbs. I should be comfortable in it right? Thanks!

Congrats on your soon to be Rubicon:clap:

As to your question: I am 6'2" tall and weight 235 lbs. I am very comfortable in both of our JKR and JLR'S. But being comfortable, is somewhat subjective.

New to the group. My first Jeep. Just got a 21' 2 door Rubicon. I live in the Hill Country of Texas, but I'm originally from the South Plains/Panhandle of Texas. Hope to learn a lot here!

Good Morning,
Michael from Georgia here. 42yo USMC Veteran. Had many off-road vehicles throughout my life and always wanted a jeep. I finally broke down and bought this 2018 JL a few days ago. Not a big fan of the 22โ€ wheels, but in due time I will make it mine.

I have never had anything with tires larger than 35/12.50, but I love the 37/13.50 this has. 3.6L w/ 8 speed auto. My only question is, has this been re-geared? The reason I am asking is at 70mph I maintain about 17-1800 rpm in 7th gear and only seem to hit 8th on really long flat straights of downhill, and the speedo reads 2mph faster than I am actually going, (According to GPS data) Either way I am a fan and love getting 18+ mpg with 37โ€™s. Looking forward to what she will become one day.

Semper Fi and welcome to the forum. I can't speak to the regearing but only being 2 MPH off with those size tires/wheels is not bad at all. I was off twice that with 17" wheels and 35" tires before adding a Super Chips Flashpaq and dialing in the parameters.

Yea I have run 35โ€™s on most vehicles I have owned and my Speedo usually needs re-calโ€™d but it is usually where I am going faster than the Speedo reads vs now where I am going slower than the Speedo reads.

I have a 21 JLUR that came with the Falken MT tires. 30K miles 99.9% surface streets/hwy and have no complaints. No loud road noise, very even tread wear with 5K mile 5-tire rotations, plenty of tread left and run at 35-37 psi. I would buy again. Not sure if the one you're looking at has the AT or MT tires. I am not sure if this is tire related or just torque vs wet road related, but I will get some instant tire spin when leaving from a dead stop at times. Not every time, so this could be the road that is slicker than other roads. Again, not sure if this is the tire, as others say the AT BFG tire is not a good wet tire, but I have no experience with that tire.
