Hi folks!

Never owned a jeep, but have driven an older model Cherokee and was impressed by its tight turning radius.

My 99 Tacoma has 250 thousand miles on her, and while she is still riding well, I have started looking for a new rig. I want a small 4x4 diesel stickshift and it seems jeep is the only company around to offer this combination.

If they offer the diesel at the outset, I might have to pull the trigger. I don't think I can wait till 2020 for the Bronco, and who knows if they will have the small/diesel/manual combination I so desire.

Happy trails!

Waiting for 18 Rubicon diesel
Hi all. I’m Dave from the Sacramento area. I’ve been waiting for the JL for some time. I recently checked all the boxes for the family as far as their college, careers, and cars. The wife and kids are all set and happy with what they’re driving. I’ve been commuting my Camry for 11 years. Took one for the team. It’s been a great car but, it was a sensible purchase that didn’t exactly set off any fireworks. With the amount of time I spend in the dirt mountain biking, it would only make sense that my favorite four wheel machine gets as dirty as my favorite two wheel machine. Only living 2 hours from the Rubicon and tons of other great trails is a bonus.
I’m with many of the others here. If they come out of the gates with a diesel option, I’ll order one fairly quick.
I look forward to the conversations.

Punk'n JLUR
Hello!

Been lurking for the past few months as I was curious about the upcoming JL.

I initially started my search for a 2012+ JKU, then decided on a 2012+ JKUR, then decided to get a new JKUR, then decided I'll wait and see what the JLUR has to offer. (Strange how my budget keeps on growing while my income remains the same!)

Anyways, I figure it's a win win situation. If the JLUR lives up to my expectations, I'll order one in the spring when the special colors are available in Canada. Otherwise, I'm hoping the dealers will offer a nice incentive to buy one of the remaining 2017/2018 JKUR's.

Hi fellow Jeepers.
Currently own a 2016 2dr Willys Edition and love it. Previously had a 2007 JK 2dr and before that a TJ.
Hoping hoping hoping that the JL will also have a Willys Edition too. That will be my next Jeep.
Awesome site. Keep up the good work.

Greetings Waxhaw NC!

Ive been lurking around this page for awhile now and finally got around to joining up.
My Jeep obsession started back in HS when my dad's friend let me drive his forest green '76 CJ5 3 speed to home football games. Crisp fall days in NH, no top, no doors, football, and four wheeling after the game...Jeep life!
I asked for A Jeep for my 17th birthday. My parents being the people they are...got me one...a forest green matchbox Jeep...:swear::headbang:. Needless to say but I still have it...and have passed it on to my 5 year old son (one of his first words/ sentences was "Daddy Jeep!" While we were driving down the road) to play with.
Timing has never been on my side to own one until now. My first jeep will be a JL. Though I'm not sure if it'll be a JL or JLU Since I have my wife, son, and 10 month old daughter to pile into it. Im leaning towards the JLU for comfort, there's just something about a 2-door that rings true.
Regardless I look forward to conversations with everyone about their adventures and memory maker jeeps!

I'll be going from a 2000 TJ Sport that I bought brand new back in the day (it's still my personal main vehicle - but showing a lot of age) to the new 2018 JLU.

I can not wait. Ready for something new!

2017 Subaru Impreza, soon to be a JL
Hey Everyone!
My name is James and I am from the Northern Nevada area. I am so excited for the new JL and JT platform. I owned a 99 Cherokee Sport for 11 years and recently traded it in on a Subaru. While the Subaru is nice you know the saying once you own a Jeep there's no going back. I have been watching and reading as much as I can about the new wranglers and after watching the LA auto show I now know for sure its time to come home. I love the activity on this forum so I think its time to join in on the revelry that is the new wrangler JL.

I traded a Subaru in on my '97 TJ, which I still own (or my son does anyway). Welcome aboard!

Just joined, had a '12 JK, lifted 35" tires, had it for 2 years and 24k miles, sold it and got a '14 JKU, same lifted slightly smaller tires, 34", ready for a JLU, probably going to get a Rubicon now based on the fenders and tire size.

Registered now that the JL is a real thing. :)

2013 JK Rubicon owner that might want to switch to a JLU Rubicon at some point and will be keeping an eye on things until the diesel is released.

Thanks for the great forum!

Hi everybody! I currently own a 2016 JKU Backcountry Edition and am thinking about trading it in for the new JLU. I want to get it in extreme purple so I have to wait longer until I can order one. Hoping they will make all colors available soon.
