Hello from Arizona/Oregon. Here's my 2021 Rubicon. Been getting some value from this forum for some time now, so thought I would join officially and contribute where I can. A few pics of our green machine.

Best,
kkzonie

Greetings from Northern Colorado

New to the forum but not entirely new to Jeeps or offroading. Rode a 2008 FJ Crusier for 15 years then the wife decided to buy a new 2023 Gladiator about a year ago. After getting to know her JT, I decided it wasn't fair that she had all the fun, so I brought a 2013 2 door JK Rubicon. I fell in love with both the Gladiator and the JK so I recently decided that I needed a 2022 2 door JL Ribicon with only 6,000 miles that I found at great price. Now I 'm Jeep poor but lovin every minute.

We are looking forward to learning from all the experience here and thanks in advance for help with questions on my almost new JL..

Hi all, I just bought a stripped down Sport that someone ordered and backed out on. Got a great deal and a great Jeep I think. My wife and I have wanted one since we were married but never had the ability to make it happen. Now, I’m even thinking of adding another to the fleet (his/hers). I plan on just mildly building it as a light off-roader/Florida cruiser. I’m looking forward to learning from all of you and drawing on your experience. Thanks for having me! ??

Hello, my name is Jack (from SW VA) and after being on the wagon for 33 years, about a month ago I decided to buy another Jeep. All it took was getting behind the wheel again for a 20 minute test drive and i was hooked. I now look back at all the years of irreparable harm not driving a Jeep has done to me. Use my story to help your friends and family.

My new Jeep is a leftover 2023 JLU Sport V6 manual. Not sure why it didn't sell. I guess it didn't have all the bells and whistles and that's ok because simple works for me. Maybe there's nobody left around here who can drive a stick, or a combination of both. Either way I'm glad to be back behind the wheel of a vehicle I can once again call Muh Jeep.

My first Jeep was a 68 Jeepster Commando. It was a V6 4 speed manual---3 forward/1 reverse ;). I was 16-17 at the time. After a couple years and a wreck, it started losing compression so I bought a newer Jeep. A 69 Jeepster Commando. Also a 4 speed.

A few years passed and I needed something more dependable and I reluctantly bought an 86 Jeep Comanche. V-6 5 speed manual. That was actually a pretty decent little truck. It didn't haul much but went through snow like nobody's business but I really missed the character of the Jeepster. I should have hung onto it but at the time thought I'd pick up another to restore. Never happened.

Lesson 1, never sell a vehicle if the decision keeps you awake at night and when you are on that last drive you get a lump in your throat. Nix the sale and get that second or third job to afford. Sell stuff, get a divorce, whatever it takes. ?

Thinking back on the Jeepster Commando, heavy metal all around, a steering system that made you pay attention to the road 100% of the time, brakes that made you not tailgate, a clutch cable that strengthened my left leg to the point where I could get by fine without my right leg. The cable also forced you to praise it before starting the engine in hopes that it wouldn't snap getting on the highway and thank it on engine shutdown. It also has just the right amount of dank from rain seeping into every nook and cranny. I forgot to mention, the heater...It never worked...Ahh memories...

A few weeks ago when looking for something new to drive heading into my retirement years, I was amazed at how manual transmissions are few and far between. You can still find them in little sports cars but that's not me and to hell with an automatic. No offense to the billions who drive automatics but a manual transmission is the only thing I've ever driven. (After the Comanche, --> Ford Explorer stick---> Dodge Dakota V-8 stick ---> 06 XTerra stick). I thought about a new Tacoma stick but it would probably be a year before it would arrive.

Lesson 2-Stick to what you know.

As it turned out our local Jeep dealer actually had a 2023 leftover with a V6, manual transmission and in green, like my 2nd JC...

Sure it smelled new, lacked the dank, and the heater worked brilliantly, but it made me smile and transported me back to when I was a kid...A sure sign came during the test drive when the local radio station played Zeppelin's Black Dog while I was cruising down the old familiar strip. I pulled back onto the lot and told them to put a sold sign on it.

That's muh story. One you've probably heard before. Looking forward to learning a lot from the new and the old Jeep drivers on this board. Ok let's go!

Jeep Wrangler JL Rubicon Recon Wrangler TJ
I picked up a Rubicon recon 4 dr two weeks ago, 2020 model, bikini Color. This is my daily driver, rehomed my Grand Cherokee limited to family. My TJ now has a sleeping buddy in the garage. All over the place on my build. Still trying to figure it out. Played in the woods with jeeps, mud buggies, atvs, sxs, horses and on foot.

Hey, I’m Dale from TN. Just got rid of my mildly built TJ I’ve had for years to get a 2021 Rubicon Unlimited. It’s hard to fit 2 kids, one being in a rear facing seat, in the TJ. To be honest, I was a little sad getting rid of β€œmy baby” but this new JL is sweet!

2008 Jeep Rubicon
Just joined this morning. I recently purchased a 2008 Jeep Rubicon with ALL the extras. I am in the process of starting a bee/honey business. As you can see in the picture, it is named Yellow Envy which I will be changing this week to MISBEEHAV'N. I will be adding LED lighting underneath and interior. I am looking forward to adding comments, pictures and modifications I make in the future. It's a pleasure to meet other jeepsters.

Just curious if anyone else is in the Nashville area.
