Hi everyone from NJ! New to Wrangler world. Just picked up my JL. It's a 2019 MOAB. I already put 285s on it, Lund Steps ( I believe someone on here did this--thanks for idea), hood locks, and Amsoil in the engine. Near future I'm going to install a 2.5 Skyjacker lift with new LCAs, front and rear.
It's my DD and huge upgrade from my 1994 Grand Cherokee with 280k miles. I owned the Grand Cherokee for 25 years!

Very interesting things I guess can happen on a Vacation. Coming off of I40 in Tennessee on Vacation we drove past a very nice looking Jeep Dealership. And there she was! A Used 2020 Bikini Metallic Willys 2 door with low miles, a stick and enough to make me happy. The wife said we should go back and look at it after we get to our rental for the week. So we did. Now I always look around, but my wife told me two weeks ago that if I found one like this, we could look it over.

Well, it’s now ours. Makes for a very strange Vacation, but a very memorable one. You see I used to be on the JK side of the house but in 2015 my Mother in law moved in with us. She was a wonderful woman and I would do anything for her Daughter and her. Mom could not get up into the JK, I saw her pain and the issues. I went to my wife and said we need to get sell a few things and get a car Mom felt comfortable in. I traded the JK and another car in so we could help Mom. I guess my Wife never forgot that sacrifice that I made for her Mom.

My wife had Retired from one job after 33 years, and went to work for another firm. We always work the 401K thing to our advantage and when she left there last year there was playtoy money that we just sat on. Yesterday after she made me do a test drive, she told me no matter what we were going to take 2 cars home. Wow…….I was absolutely amazed but I realized that she respected my decisions all those years ago. The color has some background too. When I returned from Desert Storm in 1991 I bought my wife a new Aqua colored 1992 Olds Cutlass Supreme that she loved. Bikini Metallic reminds us both of that loved vehicle. Every small thing done with this Willys is what I would have done to my JK or already had, from the tires, to the Rubicon shocks, and the fuel cover too.

As I told her last night, this JEEP IS MY CORVETTE……That is how much I like it already!

Hey guys & gals! I’m new to the forum so figured I would start here with my first post. I’ve been lurking on here for a week or two in order to do some research and read up on things. I currently have a 4Runner (bracing for the incoming hate mail, j/k ?) that I would like to replace with a 392 XR. I just moved to CO and get to work from home. (Stoked to no longer have to commute.) Since I no longer really need a daily driver per se, I wanted to get something a little more fun & outdoor focused to complement my hobbies (eg mountain biking) and do some exploring in.

I’ll likely be posting something up soon asking for some input on what factory add-ons I should get or not get when putting my order in. The forum has already been a good resource. I thought I wanted a sky one touch power top but recently saw folks talking about how the manual recommends against removing it and another thread interesting thread about different hinges (eg Teraflex). Feel like I’m rambling a bit, so I’ll stop for now. Talk to you all on the forum!

Yes We did. We just got home yesterday, and I’ve done a ton of my ANAL inspections and cleaning.
