Checking in from outside Seattle. I got my JL Sahara last summer and have spent most of the Stay-at-home time upgrading with new wheels, tires, spare relocation and tailgate support and a front bumper. I'm contemplating some tube doors and a lift next. The lift has me a little intimidated because this is the first time I've really spent doing work on my own vehicle. I've spent nearly as much $$ on tools as i have on parts!.

Was contemplating the same winch as you as I have the same bumper. Did you have any issues with install?

The only issue i had was that there was a bit too much slop in the holes on the bumper for the bolts. The nuts get nested into the winch so I needed to get some extra washers to make sure the bolts wouldn't slip. Other than that, the install was pretty simple. It fits well and looks great.

The best price I found was here: https://www.4wheelparts.com/p/smittybilt-xrc-9-5k-waterproof-9500lb-winch-gen2-97495/_/R-DSBP-97495.

Thanks for the heads up on the extra washers. Have a good evening stay safe out there!

Hello from central Maryland, everyone. I'm Adam and I just got my first Jeep last week. I am looking forward to making some upgrades and really getting into it like everyone here. I'm probably going to ask a lot of dumb questions- but please bear with me. Looking forward to talking to you all and maybe see you out on a trail some day soon.
Thanks!

I deeply appreciate being able to communicate with like minded people. It is my desire to contribute to the forum and support our passion. I am new to this forum and thank you for having me. I waited a long time for the diesel jeep wrangler and look forward to upgrading it and going on rallies. Thanks again everyone and please stay safe.

Hey, just wanted to say hello and that I appreciate these forums. I had a 2012 wrangler jk unlimited. 6 speed. 2.5" teraflex lift. I loved it except when I started having so many problems with the head and oil pressure. Anyway I got out of jeeps for awhile but here within 8 months or so I'm going to pick up a 2021 Rubicon Unlimited. Pretty excited to go through the forums and see what's all out there and get back in the excitement of building a jeep again.

Thanks!! Once I do get my jeep I will share photos. The picture attached is my old 2012 jk.

Hello! I'm new to the forum. Bought my first Wrangler this weekend. Wife and I had a Grand Cherokee for about 10 years before this and wanted to get something more fun to enjoy with our two boys. Anyways I'm looking forward to joining this awesome community!

Just like whitewillys, I picked mine up yesterday. We had grand cherokees for years. Very mild off roading is all that will happen, so went with 2" lift and 37's. Does just fine at 75 mph and the gas mileage is way worse. I didn't buy one for gas mileage though lol.

Hi All,
We picked up out JLUR last week and of course I’m already tearing into it . This is our 5th Jeep, there have been a couple of CJ7s, a lifted Liberty (RIP) and my wife’s Grand Cherokee. This is sooooo much more refined than the CJ7s but still gives me those classic feels. I’ll start a build thread soon. I lurked about on here for a while and learned a ton about the JLs. Thanks for all the guidance!

Here’s a pic from when she first came home

Been gone for a couple of years. Oh my, I'm not in Kansas anymore! So many changes. Getting reacquainted with the Wrangler. Looking forward to getting up to date.

Hello folks, I'm Rich and I'm one half of a husband-wife couple who just purchased a 2020 Wrangler Willys edition simply to tow behind our motorhome. Little did I know about the huge community and the after-market market but I'm finding out about it quickly and have already started making our new jeep truly ours.
