I'm about to install WaterCarbon seat warmers to the two front seats.

I plan on routing the wiring through the center console and installing the two switches in that area just in front of the cup holders on the blank surface between the cup holders and the gear shifter.

Any tips on where/what to use to connect the wiring to?

Thanks.

If you search, there are a few threads/posts/videos on installing seat warmers. In addition, there are fuse locations already available in the JL fuse box for seats warmers. To use them you'll need to route wires through grommets in the firewall. You could use the 12v accessory for power but don't know the Amp/fuse requirements for your aftermarket heaters.

I did this on my JK, that kit actually tapped into the cigarette lighter I believe. Not sure if that's possible on the JL but I would imagine it would be. Worst part was taking the dam hog rings apart on the seats, but then again I am far from an upholstery expert.

I often wonder how did we survive in the past without all these warmers, electronic chips and sensors . I think soon new cars will come with set of diapers ,box of kleenex and bottle of Benylin . I would think Jeep would be the last to adopt this "extra" package.

Hey, when I went to school we walked 10km uphill both ways, in 6m of snow in the summer. Why can't you kids do that now?!?

We can survive with out them, but it sure as hell makes it nicer with them. I swore I'd never have a heated steering wheel. My KL TH had one, and I'm just a fucking happy with it in the Wrangler too. You don't have to buy the package, but there's no need to shite on anyone who wants it.

Back on topic: if you're going to wheel with the seats having aftermarket heating elements, make sure you have all the connections sealed or hear shrinked to help avoid shorting in the event you ford water and get some in the cabin.

I had seat heaters in my previous vehicle, but didn't think it was necessary to order them in the JLU because I very rarely used them. Well, I have since learned that my wife misses them greatly in the winter season.

So..... This project is now on my "to do" list.
