I go 17 to 64 in Winchester. Then you're in The People's Republic of Maryland for only 12 miles as you pass thru to PA.

Thanks, the 12 minutes would be high risk if I don't have the handgun unloaded and secured in the box under the seat.

I know the risk is low, but if I'm unlocky and not within the law, well, that's not a risk I'd ever take.

for the answer to the original post, bolting the plate / mounting bracket thru the seat brackets / bolt hole should work. if i recall tuffy security box have it so you can bolt it thru the seat mounts. i could be wrong tho.

for the other post as for travel, are you anywhere near i 81. i 81 is a straight run cutting thru the southern tip of md .and in to pa. from there i 78 and i 80 gets you anywhere in pa. i'm sure you knew that already.

By the way...the original post was about how the heck do I secure the Smittybilt box under the passenger seat without drilling holes.

I may have found the answer, a friend is planning to cut a plate with four holes to attach to the seat bracket, and four holes to attach the box to the plate.

This would mean I'd have to move the passenger seat a bit to get to the box if I had to...which is fine, since non-#2A friendly states want the bad guy to shoot you anyways.

how did this turn out? i've got the rubber mats on my floor, would rather not punch through those or anything else really. right now the box and mounting sleeve mostly stay put under there unless I really gun it up an incline...
