Installed the Banks idash gauge tonite. Pretty slick little unit, lots of data you can look at. Any suggestions for what to watch? I’ve got EGT from bank1/sensor1, boost, and DPF soot load. Anything else/different I should be watching?

You should be watching regens status too.
I like the way it fit in the air vent and looks OEM. You installed it yourself?

The way you mounted that looks awesome! You need to put together a how-to...

I get oem regen messages from the GDE tune. And thank you, I did install it myself yeah. I’d do it differently if I did it again. I found a kit for the JK that is meant for this type of install. The vent internals look the same, can’t confirm if it fits tho, but it looks like it should.

I plugged the vent pipe upstream to keep the heat away from the gauge. i took the vent out of the red dash panel, took that completely apart and I hole sawed the outer piece, then removed the other 2 vent fins but left the pivot points on the sides. Once it’s apart it makes sense, wish I took pics of that.

This is very cool. Thanks for sharing.

looking at the manufacturer’s website, I’m only seeing a sample sheet for the JL 3.6. Seeing that you’ve mentioned boost, I’m assuming it’s also compatible with the 2.0T?

Specific to us 4xe owners, we don’t have an option to view a total “engine miles” odometer - only a set of trip computers which reset every 99 driving hours. It’s annoying, and I’ve been logging total engine miles manually in a glove box log book. That’s something a product like this could solve.

Not sure if it’s got the 2.0L in the list. I found a list with engines and Ecodiesel, and selected it. You also have an option of typing in engine displacement manually.

how does that interfere (or not) with the use of your visor?

I found these mounts.
AeroForce Technology, Inc
Easy install. The gauges came with a template for drilling the holes. It was a plastic template thta fit the pillar plastic for a perfect fit. No Guessing.

Yes, The visor can only go straight down. The single or double pod mount would interfere with unrestricted operation of the visor.
I have a single pod up there too and it does get in the way of the visor.
