Initial Thoughts on New JL

First Wrangler (JLU Sport S)- since this pic was taken I have removed the euro bumper piece with a few more things coming

1K miles in 1 month and I LOVE it! I test drove the JK last year and the JL is leaps and bounds better. The drive is smooth, I have the cloth seats and I actually like them better than the leather that I have had for 10 years prior! Love taking off the panels and top (I have the hard top) and I have ZERO complaints. I go out to the garage and either sit in it or stare at it. I also find places to drive because I just want to drive in it all the time! So happy with this purchase! I was coming from a Mazda CX-5 and this has more than enough pick up, something I find important. I don't think I could drive anything but a Wrangler from this point on!

Two person job (me and a friend of mine and I am NOT super strong!) to get it off and was a 3 person job to get it back on. Just cumbersome more than anything and harder to lift to put back on. The videos that are online were VERY helpful. I just kept it on a blanket in the garage and covered it with a sheet lol! Not the best solution and I am hoping to find a better one soon. I am looking into buying a hoist at some point- open to suggestions on that. There is so much to buy I am trying so hard to get only what I (think) I need right now!

It worked! I had to block it with trash cans to keep my two boys away and told the sitter to shut the garage door and do NOT let them in there to play under it!! LOL!

So yesterday I was able to give the feeling I get from driving my JL down the road. In my cars, I would see a pool on the road and try my best to skirt it. In the Rubi I just plow through. "whatever" I think, and then it came to me, that feeling, like jumping in puddles as a kid, thats what it feels like to drive down the road in a Jeep.

I also named it Puddle Jumper that very moment Puddle Jumper has a garage appointment on the 12th to get a 2" lift and new wheels and tires installed :D
