Hi everyone,

I noticed about having my Jeep for 8 weeks that the black oem wheels are chipped rocks/gravel. I know these vehicles are made for off road and I expect this kinda stuff. But is there any tips to reduce the damage of the chips or something you can do besides not driving it.

Can you post a photo? Not sure how a rock would chip a wheel unless you're talking about when you're wheeling and rub against a rock.

There’s no way to prevent that unless you get them wrapped in that same color to prevent further damage. Most folks just get them Powder Coated once their wheels get really scratched and chipped. That’s about 300.00 a wheel to Powder Coat. I’d buy a new wheel or just buy a new set after they’ve gotten really bad. For now, I use this on my Black Wheels that are trimmed in Red. This stuff keeps them bright and shiny and keeps brake dust to a minimum. I have scratches, but if anyone is looking at wheels hard enough on someone else’s Jeep to see scratches and tiny rock damage on a wheel, I’d say they’ve got issues ?
