Hi all. I just brought not only my first Jeep but my first Hybrid. 2024 Wrangler Unlimited 4Xe. Is it normal for the charge to drop so much.? I drive 2.8 miles to work and it drops 10%. No air running or anything. The dealer said to just leave it on hybrid so I haven't touched anything. Otherwise absolutely love it! Thanks for any advice or tips.
The gauge is generally accurate. I get about ~20-24 miles out of a charge, depending on speed. If there's anything approaching highway speed I'd expect to total about 15 miles of range. When the weather gets chilly the range goes down a bit.

Regenerative braking. That's that drag you feel when you let off the gas, it's using the electric motor to slow the car down instead of the brakes, putting charge back into the battery. When you use the "max regen" button (bottom left corner of the center stack buttons), it makes that regen even stronger so you coast less.

in pure battery mode you will get 30-35 miles on a charge. It’s sad but that’s about it. Just run in hybrid mode Keep battery charged and enjoy it

Don't waste your gas on esave. Just drive electric until the Jeep switches you to hybrid (if you drive that much in a day) then plug in overnight.
Longer trips, just run hybrid.
The only time e-save is awesome is if you desperately want to keep full electric available for your destination (like a long drive to the trail). Full power and torque will always be available regardless of the HV battery's displayed state of charge.
I avoid E-Save like the devil unless on longer drives (example would be when I drove back from the shore last weekend, just to top the battery up to 75%). What I mean is that I still want to fill my tank up (sitting at half) and I will drive home on E-Save Charge and whatever gas is used won't bother me none, and head to a charge station. Tonight I cannot really afford to sit there for almost 2 hours like last night.

Give a little, take a little, ya know?

I'm squeezing about 30 miles but that's being very light on the throttle. Usually keeping in the 25% zone of electric use when throttling it. This is mainly with the radio running only... I also leave REGEN on 100% of the time and throttle manage my braking.
We are also getting about 30 miles on a charge when we drive through the town to do errands and work. Once we get on the highway, it goes down to 25 miles of range. Still happy with that considering we are very close to everything we need.

I got mine in the fall last year and didn't really use the AC, as the winter came on we used the heated seats and steering wheel, etc. I was surprised by how much juice the heat uses. Makes sense when you think it isn't using the heat off the engine to warm the cabin when you are using only electric.

I ended up getting an L2 outlet installed in my garage and LOVE how much faster it charges. I realize in an apt that isn't really an option, but man, having a consistent capability to charge it up will really extend that all-electric capability.

We are slowly getting into cooler weather and if we have the windows and top down it does seem that the charge lasts a touch longer, or better yet, when we get back home I have more percentage left than when we are running the AC or heater. Makes perfect sense when you think about it, but I really try to not have a lead foot and be conscious of it. More so for fun than getting crazy trying to hypermile it!

After a full charge, mine says 24 miles, but honestly, I haven't really been measuring that, it sure is fun to drive!
