PDI's are usually a joke. At least at the Jeep dealerships I worked at. It's usually a low level tech who has to check fluids, tire pressure, screw on the antenna, hang the license plate bracket, quick walk around, and short test drive. It takes so long because the tech is probably screwing around. I wasn't even a tech, and even though I wasn't supposed to, I would do a PDI from time to time. I would do a better inspection and and take half the time than the tech would because I actually cared about delivering a perfect vehicle.
