How Long Can An Order Be Changed?

Hi All,

Hate to open a thread for such a specific question, but hoping this can maybe hold some general info to help others - beyond my specific question.

Specific question first:
•I’m a turbo order, which has now been cloned and assigned a new VIN.
•I’m in D status.
•I would like to switch from a Sahara to a Rubicon with some other order modifications, as well.

Dealer said he was not able to make any changes. I asked him to call the rep and ask the rep to. Dealer said they could make minor changes but not major ones like trim changes, and also could not remove anything from the order (only add new).

Is this correct, or should I push harder before hitting D1? Has anyone successfully changed their trim while in D status?


Now, trying to make this valuable beyond my specific question...

Are there general guidelines for order changes? Limitations on what kinds of changes can be made at different status points?

You will have more luck cancelling the order and starting all over again with the trim & options you want.

Yep , and when you cancel and re-order , insist on a larger discount .
