TIA for any input on this tread. I have found a JL Unlimited at want to make sure I have my "game plan" finalized before I go into the dealer

Options:
Sport S
Technology Group
Convenience Group
Cold Weather
Active Safety
Auto
Hard Top
Alpine

MSRP is $42,260 (I believe this was built before the last price increase as the MSRP is now $42,710)
Estimating Invoice at $40,264
Invoice Discount: `$2,415 (6% - 5% + 1% for TL)
Net Amount: $37,849

Does this sound doable/reasonable?

Thanks,

Bill

Just depends on if you can find a local dealer willing to play ball, or if you're willing to travel somewhere that will. Those deals are absolutely out there, if you're willing to travel to get it.

Good luck! :like:

Havenā€™t seen too many dealers doing true 5% off invoice deals. They start off there but by the time they add in doc fees and mandatory pkgs then it ends up like 3-4% below invoice.

Have you done a search to see if anyone else in your area has found a dealer giving good discounts.

Also, from what Iā€™ve seen the standard deal is invoice - holdback + doc fee. Holdback is around 3% of MSRP, so for your rig it would be $1268. If the dealer doesnā€™t add a doc fee then numbers would look like this:
$40,264 a $1268 = $38996

Then add in tax, title, license.

Join tread lightly for an additional 1% of invoice off ($403) if your dealer partiticpates. Also, another $500 off if youā€™re military. Jump on the bonus drive bandwagon for another $250 rebate.

Just my 2 cents. Hopefully the dealer is willing to negotiate. Iā€™d take some price sheets posted by others in the forum showing 5% off and leverage those in your negotiations.
