I understand that the life of the DPF is also improved. All that startup black smoke you used to see before emissions control is worse at cold temps. On my RV I plug it in the night before traveling if overnight temps are less than 32F. I plan to do the same with the Jeep.I agree, it would reduce engine wear dramatically. Very cold starts will wear your motor more than you think. 75% Of engine wear is on cold start up until warm.
