I just installed the Hot Head liner in Black on my rig, installation was simple enough following the video instructions. I got it mainly to help with the Texas heat. Noise isn't a big deal, I wasn't expecting a quiet ride in a jeep.

Is the Sky One Touch + Hotheads quieter than the hard top? I have the hard top with liners, and it is still on the noisy side. Wonder if the SOT is better, worse or the same, as I'm thinking about getting a new JLUR soon.
We had a ‘21 JLU Rubicon hardtop and have a ‘24 Rubicon X 4Xe with SOT. The hardtop is definitely quieter. Installed the Hotheads mesh screen and liner which helped a bit and looks great.

Using my iPhone decibel app it registers 79-83 db in the 65-75 mph range at the dash.

Cant go wrong with 303.
The recommendation I went with is
Bestop 1121700 16-oz. Black & Color Twill Fabric Protectant

Bestop
This is what I use as well. going on 6 years and still looks/performs as new.

Going with, there are no stupid questions - just answers... Are you using this product on a Sky One Touch? Looking to get a product on mine before summer hits and the Colorado sun starts beating it. Thanks...

Yes, on the twill portion of the top. I apply it about twice a year due to the NV sun. I still don't have any water spots or leaks in the winter either.

That's fair, but It's not the twill that's the issue for leaks. It's the seals around it.

I'm not suggesting that cleaning and sealant applications of the twill isn't worthwhile for prolonging it's life. I'm just saying that the seals around it are going to be an issue long before the twill fails.

I have one tiny leak that's developed and I've narrowed it down to a predictable spot of being where two seal strips meet at the front corner. Unfortunately winter isn't the best time to address it.
