I’m installing a braking system in my 2018 JL so it can be flat towed behind my motor home. The braking contraption is powered by 12vdc through a lighter adapter.

The OE cigarette lighter socket is powered only when in Run or Acc... so, naturally, I want to bypass that battery-draining feature and convert the cigarette lighter socket to be hot; not wired to the ignition switch.

Anyone have a solution?

Thanks!

@Dusty

Direct to Battery wire, fused at 10 amp is found in the Aux bundle found in the passenger side foot well.
The Aux bundle in the engine compartment does not have the direct to battery wire.
