My wife has just recently started having an issue with the horn going off randomly. It happens about 5 min after shutting off the vehicle. (2020 wrangler Rubicon) she is not near the remote so it’s not a matter of that getting accidentally pressed. She has been able to get it shut off by pressing the unlock on the remote in the past but today she had to actually start it to get it stopped. It is not an intermittent sound like the alarm but a constant sound. I have not noticed this issue before but may have missed it. Any ideas? Thanks

For me personally, one of the worst things engineers did was; attach everything in a vehicle to the gosh dang horn! A subtle bing, bing would have much more peaceful. Rant over.

I did a little searching for horn going off randomly and came up with replacing the horn relay.

I'm sorry I can't be of more help; I hope you get it figured out and please let us know what it was when you do.

There is a thread around here in the last few months with same issue. Can't remember the name but maybe try a search on it might help. I think that one was on camera and it would do it like locking it with the fob lights flash and horn went off out of the blue for no apparent reason. Maybe battery going dead?

Yes the batteries have definitely been a thought since they are both original. Thanks I’ll search for that post.

If you notice another weird behavior related to the steering wheel commands (ACC/CC randomly turning off while in use, the backlight of the buttons on the wheel flickering, or buttons do not work, horn goes off, the airbag light lit on the dash...) it is likely the clock spring. Have the service check it. If it is only the horn, it could be just the beginning of her future troubles where, only the horn wire is pinched or shorting, so the other symptoms might not be present...
