Hood Corrosion

OK, finally got my Jeep back. The service center treated me right and Jeep US Customer Care is paying for my extended rental (over $900). Had to go back due to a dent on the door when I picked it up but all is fixed now.

My cost was $0, but total cost of the work performed was over $13,000

If you're within the 5 year mark, I highly suggest checking this closely in case you need to file a warranty claim.

$13k? Damn! What all needed to be replaced? I’ve got corrosion on my hood also. As well as my windshield frame, 4 doors, and tailgate. My 5 year warranty expires May 2026. Sounds like I’ll be waiting months to get it repaired but my dealership has always been good to me so I’m hoping things go smoothly.

13k is actually on the low side from posts I've seen. Most have been in the 17k-18k range

All 4 doors and hood were replaced. Apparently, if the corrosion is at an edge, part needs to be replaced. If it's on the surface, they'll repaint.
