I’m wondering if anyone has run across anything like this. My ceiling height (3) is about 3ft so distance (2) has to be 3 ft or greater. My ceiling begins to slope at about right where I need to place the rearmost 2x6. That would make me pull on a 90 degree angle. I ordered the topsy brackets so I could hoist with the window shut but I’m at questioning the pull angle. Prius owners don’t have these issues. TIA

Just remember....if the ID is bigger than the OD.... the hole is on the outside!

My question would be, what's behind the slope? Sometimes there is wasted space behind walls. Punch a small (easy to repair) hole in to shine some light. Maybe it can be reengineered. If it is stairs your out of luck but the odds on a two car garage having a slope across the space would be almost zero.

Behind the slope is the great outdoors. 😁
