Check out the picture at https://www.ebay.com/itm/2018-JEEP-...332565386889?_trksid=p2385738.m4383.l4275.c10

Everything looks to be included, even the bracket. I ordered this, if it is not like what is in the picture, I will send it back. If you search this part number on Google, several come up on Mopar parts sites for various dealers.
Yes, bracket is undoubtedly there as pictured. Look close the bracket is also pictured on the itemized list of kit contents. Can also tell you that eBAY vendor is aok... my buddy has purchased from there multiple times.

I’m going to be ordering it as well...but from my dealer. As part of my deal, they agreed to give me ALL HITCH PARTS at cost. @moparmaga - this looks like a fairly in depth install. You going to post up notes, or better yet, do an install video?

That kit from the looks of it, is all plug and play. There is no cutting/splicing of wires. You will be unplugging and plugging connectors, running 2-3 cables & zip tieing ... and 5 bolts to insert for the bracket and module. The instructions will be very clear. You should have no issue doing the install yourself.

Worse case scenario is you try and if you can't get it done you have the dealer do it.

Dealer is gonna grab a hundred+- for the install.

Ok, no worries, then. I'm fairly handy. It just looks quite a bit more involved than the super easy JK. Still, any notes from someone that does the install are greatly appreciated.

I've done similar on 4 JK's. JL/JLU will be no different. Just take your time, careful not to break connector locks. When plugging and unplugging, go easy and do not force anything. Also, if it is real cold out, be very careful with connectors as connector locks, etc. tend to break easier when real cold.

Another thing to do, is to take digital pics with your smartphone of the connections ..i.e.. the stock set-up before you start fooling with things.

Hopefully, as each guy/gal does their install, they will take the time to post on this forum how their install went. What worked best for them, etc.. Best place to post would be in the DIY section on the forum.

Again, worse case scenario you end up at the dealership...... but if you can read and follow basic written instructions, plug and unplug connectors, etc. you will have no issues,. Give yourself plenty of time, limit distractions and have very good lighting!

As per instructions you will need a tube of RTV silicone adhesive/sealant and electrical tape. They also show you will need a wire coat hanger.

I ordered 68251844AB mopar receiver last week.I will install it as soon as I get it. I really don’t want to pay for the 7 pin harness when all I really will use is the 4 pin. I’m hoping that someone will come out with a plug and play 4 pin harness.

eTrailer says yes. However, Curt' s own website has not said that. 13432 is, and has been, a JK number. From what I've read, hitches made for JK's will, technically, fit. Interestingly, though, is that Mopar has issued a different part number for the JL hitch, so it doesn't match the JK's. This would lead you to believe that there is something, however slightly different, between the two.

A couple of folks have went ahead and ordered the 13432. Others are waiting for Curt to officially update their literature to make 100% sure.

Clear as mud, lol?

Clear as mud indeed!!

I think I'll wait to see if some of the orders come and they confirm the fit.. Or I may get antsy and order one from Amazon and return it if it does not fit :P

Thanks!!

I just need a 4 flat plug. Does anyone have a simple solution like what they make for the JKs? Also, somewhere here I read that on the Grand Cherokee there is a need to have the dealer update the computer so the trailer lights will work. Is that necessary on the JL?

Good question. IDK, but I hope not. AFAIK, no one has officially done the full install with the factory wiring components, yet. @moparmaga will be the first, I believe.

Ok, took a look under the fender where the hitch is supposed to be mounted. The bolt pattern looks right, but I do have 2 bolts already in there, anyone knows what those are?

(ruler is on the back of the Jeep for reference.)

What model do you have? My Rubicon looks different than that...most likely due to the steel bumpers...?

Doesn't look like those two bolts are doing anything at all.
