Curious, why are you so overly concerned with the "A" measurement? You can always buy ($20+-) a hitch extender. The extender lengthens your 2" receiver up to 12 inches.
I'm not overly concerned with A. I figured if someone was already measuring B, they could get A while they were at it. Also, it isn't for a bike. It is for a cargo box. If you want the hitch lower, for your bike ...you can get a say 6" or more drop hitch and then use the extension with it.
I hear you. Just was letting you know that B measurement can be drastically changed with a drop hitch. You can go 6, 8, or more up or down with a drop hitch. You can get your cargo box away from the spare by increasing "A" up to 12" with the extension. Your Rubi rides pretty high so if you need/want to use a drop hitch for drop, you have plenty of leeway.
Good point, but for now, would be good to know "B" if "A" is straight out. That way, if I use a drop hitch, it will have even more clearance from the back up camera. Plus, I feel lucky enough to get the basic measurement, much less asking someone to give me "B" if A=6 and "B" if A=8, etc. Like that commercial for HomeAdvisor, I don't want someone to go too far out for something basic.
