What I know is that my soft top sucks. It doesn't seal along the top on my drivers side and worse than that it is unsecure. It's easily broken into, noisy and doesn't even keep the weather out. After a week on the road I came back to my Jeep and found the drivers seat full of snow...it's less than worthless as far as I'm concerned. I know lots of people love theirs and that's fine...they can love it all they want but I hate mine.

Exact reason I don’t have one. They r so nice to have on sunny days. But I had a fear things like you are experiencing might happen with age
