Help need electrical help

Installed new tire carrier and 3rd lights. Had to move camera and everything else into the carrier. Anyone know what this red box is to? 1 end clipped into the break connector in tailgate and ran power and ground through into 3rd taillight. The red clip clipped into the white and green wire. Not sure what that is for. I do have blind spot sensors on my Jeep. Not sure if this has anything to do with it

Probably dealer installed to make the brake light strobe. Sometimes known as an EDP (extra dealer profit) add-on.
