Hi all, first post here so I apologize if this was done wrong. I’m sure someone will let me know lol. Im having issues with my 2019 JL’s lights. They are aftermarket (not sure brand), I’ll post a pic. The low beams all of a sudden do not work but the high beams are fine. All other lights work as well. I’ve metered the bulbs, one is showing power the other is not, but again, the high beams work so im very confused. They are a dual beam set of LEDs. I’ve tried checking the main harness connectors-no visible corrosion and everything was seated. Fuses show power so assuming no problem there. I bought the jeep used a few months ago and been trying to figure out all the parts the previous owner put on it. Could one bad bulb cause the other not to work? Any help is appreciated.

You should start by simplifying things and putting a set of new halogen bulbs in for testing, particularly if you don't know what kind of LED bulbs are in there now.

The particular LED bulbs you have may not work properly without the vehicle being set for LED headlights. Normally you shouldn't have to change anything, since these bulbs are meant to directly replace halogens, but some bulb/vehicle combinations are picky.

I’d recommend replacing them after testing to make sure your connections are working, as @jludave mentioned.

I have similar led bulbs and I went through two sets in 4yrs…both did the same. First the low beam went out, while high beam stayed on (this was after 1 year use). I put in another set and eventually the other bulb did the same.

Mine looked like yours. I replaced both with a set from Beamtech (muchh cheaper than what I spent on the others) haven’t hadan issue with them.

Also, are you saying that both low beams stopped working at the same time on both bulbs?

Or is one led bulb working (both high and low beams) on one headlight assembly and the other LED bulb’s low beam isn’t working in the other headlight assembly?

Thank you for the response! I’ll replace them and see what happens.

Thank you for the advice! Since you went through a couple sets I’m not as concerned with the wiring now. These bulbs are supposed to last an extremely long time so it had me concerned with other issues with the jeep! Could be as simple as just having a bad batch of LEDs.

I think my left low beam went out first and then within a couple of days my right side stopped working. So both low beams are out. I only realized cause unfortunately I had to take my son to the ER last night and I could barely see anything! Not a good time, but my high beams on both bulbs work. Luckily nobody else was on the road haha.

Sorry to hear about your baby! Hopefully all is well now. ??

thank goodness they went out separately! It’s likely the bulbs. Try going back with Beamteach LEDs IF you want to go back with an LED bulb. They are super inexpensive and nice quality.

other members may chime in to give you other LED bulb options too.

I eventually want the LED assembly but they’re still too pricey for me. I have other things that need attention on the Jeep b4 i spend $1k a piece on a light assembly ?

You can get good aftermarket LED's for a lot less than $1000. I did the LED /Halogen bulb swap on my JKU and wasn't happy so on the JLU wanted complete LED headlights. The OEM's are too pricey for me. Rough Country has a scratch and Dent site on Ebay and I picked up a pair of their LED Headlights with Halo for $199. They are plug and play no programming/flashing required. They are great.

Yep he’s all good now, thank you! I’ve seen the Beamtech ones on YouTube videos, they are definitely an option!

I’ll take a look at this too. Thanks for your input!
