I think you should recall the windshield glass on the 2018 Rubicon JLU, had it for 2 days and a small rock caused a huge crack and this isn't the first case from what I found this is a huge problem

It is a flat windshield. On any Jeep forum through the years, this has been a major sore spot. Not much they can do but offer Gorilla Glass, which is coming out around October or November. I busted one already, too. The one that hit me would have cracked any windshield. It hit like a bullet.

If I bust another, I'm waiting for Gorilla Glass to replace it. The JL, though, isn't the first Jeep to have more than it's share of broken windshields. They all do. My JK was fortunate to only have 1 new windshield, so far. My YJ had a windshield replaced, too.

Please help I took my 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL with 3k miles to the dealer today for continues engine knocking and metal clicking noise from Left wheel when turning. They had it for four hours and just how I expected the service tech could not duplicate the noise i guess he compaired lit with another jeep lol yeah ok. I went in furious 4 hours to tell me that , I asked to speak with the tech but of course not available show me the jeep that was compaired couldn't find it lol. At this point I'm loosing it I had the service manager , assistant manager a tech and the girl from the service counter all outside. They listened to my jeep and all were able to hear the continues knocking coming from the bottom of the jeep. The service manager stated that the noise is definitely not normal and brought another jeep to listen to it and WOW no noise. Again he agreed that it's not normal and wants my jeep on Monday to remove timing cover and so forth. I also have the metal clicking from front tire which again 4 hours later the tech couldn't duplicate. I in return duplicated the noise in less then 30 seconds. Should of seen there faces.
I guess the tech drove it with the windows up music turned on and ac going .. smh
Love my Jeep but very disappointed

Seems to be a bunch of posts in this forum. I'm sure this topic is well covered but what is Jeep doing about the steering issues? Concerning because there seems to be a couple of issues going on. The first involves the steering locking up/binding. The other seems to be concerning a "dead spot" that causes lane drift.
I have a Sahara that I purchased at the end of June. I seem to have the dead spot issue. I called (2) local dealers and they were scratching their heads which leads me to believe they know nothing about the issue. I'm additionally concerned because I made the appointment yesterday (8/18) to have this check out and they can't get me in until 8/28 "because of all the recalls they have". It appears that these issues are happening with enough frequency and are widespread enough that it is pushing beyond a bulletin. I can't believe there aren't more recalls especially with how unsafe some of these issues are. Is it going to take fatalities before Jeep will take action? Not happy with Jeep not being more proactive for vehicles that are so expensive that I consider it an investment. Thoughts?

Hi,

I ordered my Jeep on May 5th, the dealer placed the order on May 9th, details below. I was supposed to pick up my Jeep today, but got a call from the dealership saying not to pick it up because there is a loud, unusual noise from the bottom. HOW CAN A JEEP STRAIGHT FROM THE FACTORY BE BROKEN ALREADY? Didn’t it get an inspection at the factory? the dealership said he wants his head transmission mechanic to look at it, and he will not be back in until Monday. Just seems fishy to me.

I am leary of taking delivery when it is already having issues right off the truck. The dealership has already sold my trade-in, so there is no getting that back. What should I do? I am without a car now, please advise... .

Don't panic. Wait and see what it is. It could be as simple as a loose control arm bolt or something like that. Just relax and only get upset if it turns out to be something terrible. I'd bet it winds up something simple.

I have insurance through Amica, for 56 bucks a year I have zero deductible on windshield replacement.

Update: the dealer said the noise is because the flywheel bolts are missing. WHAT!! How can it leave the factory without bolts? Didn’t they hear the loud noise at the factory and wonder why? I am worried about the damage from that now.

I am going reject it and ask that they expedite a replacement from the factory and give me a loaner. They've held on to my $1000 for 3 1/2 months, that was my good faith, the least they can do is make it right and have some skin in the game themselves and give me a loaner until the new one is built.
