Heated seat, waxed jacket

Thanks everyone. Yea, seat cover or just don't wear while driving I guess. Just hate seat covers, almost all look like shit and the nice ones would be the same issue, ruining a nice set with wax transfer. Can't have it all.

As far as bluecollar. I am and my preferences for materials is easy, canvas, denim, leather, cotton, steel.. proven materials for centuries.

I gotta admit I choked when I saw the prices on some of the stuff being mentioned. But in my younger days I probably spent the equivalent on leather jackets that looked like they had been drug around and run over repeatedly by a truck. Now I shop at Walmart.

Yea.. That jacket wasn't cheap. Hard to say this with a straight face, but I don't mind spending money on something that's going to last(Irony: wrangler owner[sideways glance at my hinges]
I remember my first leather jacket, I was 18, 1992, Wilsons Swade & Leather at the mall, about $110 which is about $250 in today's dollars, not far off the $300 for the waxed I have now.

ironically I am so blue collar I know what a waxed jacket/pants/hat are....I guess that makes me old too

From experience I will tell you that those wax infused jackets and coats are Fantastic for blocking wind and rain. But only used it on Horseback. Great for Winter.

They are great. I have a full zip hoodie under mine, its been in the 20s here, rainy and windy. Tshirt and hoodie/waxed jacket is enough

A waxed jacked can be very blue collar. You take your basic denim jacket and apply appropriate wax with some heat to make it water resistant.
