I do a lot of night driving and wildlife is always a concern. Are the factory headlights good, or is additional lighting recommended? Has anyone swapped out the factory fog lights for amber colored ones? If so, was the result good?

I would say it is up to your preference. The stock non-LED lights are basically the same as any other comparable light on any other vehicle. If you drive a vehicle now with non-LED lights that are just the basic I bulb style then I think you will think your Jeep is the same.

if you are driving something now with LEDs or some other headlight system that is really bright, you will be disappointed with the Jeep.

i drove my JLUR for 4 years in all kinds of conditions including snow at night and all that and I thought the basic lights were fine. The only reason I sold it was to buy a 392 and If the LED lights didn’t come standard on the 392 I probably would not have ordered them. I always thought the basic lights were ok.

The OEM LEDs headlights are good.

I'm a big fan of amber for any additional lights.

The OME LED are bright, but the first time I used them in actual fog, they just reflect off the moisture. I replaced them with with @BajaDesigns SAE-approved amber fog lights and I couldn't be happier.

The amber doesn't reflect off of the moisture like the pure white does.

The lights at the towels help with spotting critters on the side of the road/trail and have saved me from possible deer collisions multiple times.

The 10" light bar is because I went too long without modding the Jeep and got the itch to add something... But, it does have a helluva throw distance and fills in the "gap" left by having the ditch lights angled outward.

I did basically the same conversion that @LuvHydro did on the wife's JLUSS. HUGE improvement, and no glare to oncoming drivers. Great upgrade.

Love the jeep man! Great hearing our product is working well for you. Keep an eye out for some SAE direct replacement headlights for jeeps...Might be seeing these in the near future.
Best,
Brandon
