Headlight size

Possibly a stupid question, I have a 2020 jlu sport. I want to replace the factory halogen lights with LED. I see both the 7" and 9" saying they fit my jeep. Is the 7" the standard size? I did measure the front of the headlight and it's 7". Just wondering why it shows 2 different sizes that say they fit.

9" is the actual opening, If you want a true JL headlight 9" is the ticket, if you get a 7" light adapters are used to fill in the gap.
