Headlight adjustment, clockwise = down?

So I’m reading many mixed threads on whether cw is up or down? I’m on a road trip or I’d just use my garage. And it’s light out right now. Basically just looking to get the correct answer. Is clockwise or counter clockwise down on the adjustment screws? I have the rough country 2 inch lift and 37s and don’t want to be that guy with my led lights. Got flashed a few times but could just be the led lights. I turned it 3 turns clockwise this morning but won’t know if that was correct until tonight. Someone help me out. Thanks.

Clockwise brings the aim down

Thanks!! I went 3 turns clockwise so we will start there and I’ll fine tune it when I have a chance.

Well I see why the confusion. I’m not sure if it’s a model (rubicon vs sport) or model year difference but clockwise definitely made mine go up. Had to readjust at a gas station after darkness hit and I realized it was worse. Went counter clockwise (loosen) and they went down. Went back the 3 I had changed this morning plus 4 more turns and they seem pretty good. I’ll measure and dial in when I get home (on a 1500 mile road trip) tomorrow evening.
So let’s try and get this straightened out. My 2019 rubicon ccw lowers the headlights. Cw definitely raised them.
Post your sub model and year and let’s see if we can get an answer of what the differences are. This contradicting info is exactly what I was finding when searching for an answer.

Counter lowers...this worked for me a while back.

You should measure it against a flat wall. I think the top of the light beam main beam should be 36” from the ground. As you’re turning it you can easily see it to up and down. That’s what I did. Lots of videos on how to do it. It took me about 5 min once I measured out the distance from the wall to the Jeep. Can be done with a screwdriver and tape measure and some tape.

I used to get flashed a lot but not anymore.
