Just ordered and received a 2 dr manual Rubi with very limited options. What I notice often is the number of people here who end up spending tons of money to replicate the things a Rubi comes with stock. First, the gearing, the Rubi comes with 4:10s which work great with the manual. Check all of the threads where guys complain about the lack of power especially once they go to bigger tires. Tires are next, the Rubi takes 35's without ANY modifications and comes with a D44 front axles that can handle those tires off road, stock. To me there never was a different option, the gearing and axles alone were enough incentive. My wife LOVES the red dash and stitching accents so another win for the Rubi at my house. Last, I do not know anybody who laments popping for the Rubi, it is a great package, the only other Jeep I would consider would be a JT Mojave. Easy to keep the option load down and the price reasonable. Our Rubi was ~$43k

So here i am on the cusp of ordering and just can't decide what to go with,

The things I for sure want are gecko, 2dr,manual

I'm stuck between keep it budget friendly, with a pretty decently optioned out sport s

A willys with less options but more so just the options I care for

Or a rubi with just the trailer tow and HD electric

Rubi is cheapest long run from what I would do to the other two, from axle reinforcement (I wouldn't buy a new axle just beef it up to chromally cv axles and trusses to feel better running a 37 on that dana 30

If I go sport I'm picking the anti spin differential to get that 44 in the rear

To me it makes sense to either go willys or rubi since the price point is almost the same with how I have them built out.

But then I decided let's see how much a 2dr rubi would be and I'd be happy with options to make it just 1k more than what I have the willys at.

So any advice or words that can sway me one way or the other?

I've had jeeps before and had a rubi before. Yes I Intend on taking it out and actually using the lockers. And sway bar

If I went willys I'd be installing lockers and probably the Anti rock as well.

But just looking to see what thoughts are thanks
Do not even think about it - get the Rubicon. The resale alone will make up the difference on the front end.

Yeah were looking at right around 43,
Color
Trailer tow and HD power package
Premium soft top
Upgraded speakers but keeping with the 7" screen
It kinda blew my mind that you can get a decent rubi for under 45
