Its the manual though. I thought the manual had better crawl ratio than auto?
The big advantage of the automatic is the torque converter. It lets the engine rev a little faster even when you're crawling. That gets it up into a better RPM range to build torque.

The manual needs a lot better crawl ratio to compensate when crawling. The engine will run at lower RPMs after you let the clutch out because you are in a direct drive situation. At low RPMs the 3.6 doesn't make much torque. The deeper gears multiply that inadequate torque better.

Took Taz to Windrock this weekend. It was snowy, icy, muddy and a lot of fun! The new gears made a very noticeable difference. The drive on I-40 in the hills no problems at all keeping up, and used ACC most of the trip. Very nice to have that back. On the trails, VERY different. It's nice to have more gears to choose from for obstacles. Sometimes too nice! I had it down pat before, pick the gear and go but now there's more decision making. Even though I was able to climb a very steep large rock garden in 2nd, I realized halfway through that I got too cocky and should've just crawled it in 1st. I stalled, and when I cranked it back up I flooded the engine it finally started up with P3032 misfire code / check engine / etc sputtering. Once I got it to the top and reset, it was fine. Only time I stalled. Figured out the adjustments to be made. But lessons learned, just because I can climb things in 2nd and 3rd now, not always a good decision haha. Fun times.

I ordered my '25 two door manual transmission Rubicon with 4.88 from the factory and I am glad I did.
