Hi, I'm sorry to hear this. Please let me know if you plan on visiting a dealership for this concern. I would be happy to open a case for you.

Thanks for the response, Alison, but as you well know (and has been evidenced by many posters here), the dealerships are clueless about these kinds of issues, and I am not inclined to waste my time there.

This is a basic functionality question about the radio, and should be answerable by FCA or the Uconnect team.

I believe JeepCares is mostly able to assist with consumer/dealer interactions. I'm not sure they have much interaction with FCA's development teams. I used to manage a similar team at my company, and we'd constantly receive suggestions for product innovations (which I'd pass along, but...). The fact that Jeep has associates monitoring social media to assist like this is pretty cool- but it would be awesome to have someone who works between the consumer and their design / engineering teams on the sites as well (maybe they do, and they are incognito :bandit:).

Hooking up via Android Auto seems to be a "semi-solution" for this issue. I always connect my Samsung Galaxy 10 to the USB port in the dash media hub. This immediately launches the Android Auto app on the radio. I usually listen to Pandora, and the app will automatically default to a GoogleMap screen with a play button at the bottom- so all I have to do is hit play and it picks up wherever Pandora was when I disconnected last time.

However, there is something weird about the Bluetooth connections of Wranglers (at least mine). In every other vehicle I drive, I can rename the Bluetooth connection and it will be remembered. However, no matter how many times I rename the "UConnect" link in my Jeep to "Rubicon" the next time I connect to the Jeep the name is reset. This is annoying because I travel a lot and rent a lot of vehicles through National (which features a lot of FCA products)- so I end up with a bunch of "UConnect" listings in my connections.
