So I had some time this weekend to make some changes to my hard top storage rig (basically hanging from my garage ceiling) and I'm wondering if another change would be safe.
To support the front of the top I've been using a wooden rod with two eye bolts and a ratchet strap attached to eye bolts on the ceiling. There's also two 3/8" bolts that come up through the mounting holes to keep the rod from slipping out from under the top.
What I'm wondering is if it's safe to support the front of the top with just a bolt or hook at those points? Or would that be too much stress in such a small area?
I'll try to attach pics for now info when I get home.
Thanks for reading all this
