I'm pretty sure @flick2614 has no clue what a narc is. At least not in this situation.

Probably going to f*ck myself now but between the all the illegal stuff on Jeep and the Harley I haven’t been pulled over. Cops have better things to do than enforce laws about colored lights here.

Just because you choose to do something illegal and get away with it, does not mean it is appropriate to advise others to do the same and then have them subsequently deal with possibly being pulled over and fined. That's all I'm going to say. This thread has run its course.

There is a difference between required equipment, and authorized equipment. The federal standards show what the minimum must be. Individual states then can dictate that further as they see fit. I don't know all the different states laws. But I do know that it is not illegal in all states. And if I recall the OP didn't even state that they plan to drive with the blue lights illuminated. Do I recomend it, no. But the information has been provided for and against and it's up to the OP to make the decision that they want.

Noticing no one gave Oracle sh*t for posting the link that literally can enable OP to break these laws and apparently turn him and his wife into hard core criminals for life.

OP asked for blue halos. Halos are illuminated when the vehicle is running, unless they are turned off somehow. I did mention that above.

The page @ORACLElights linked mentions the legal implications:
These replacement boards feature our traditional RGB ColorSHIFT® technology along with an extra "White LED" which allows for truer white tones, a crisp white DRL color option and the ability to instantly switch over for 100% legal road driving.

Again, the Halo lights are not the daytime running lights on the Wrangler, the fender lights are. There is absolutely nothing in the federal code that prohibits additional lighting beyond the required lighting. So blue halos, with the normal complement of lights is perfectly fine by federal standards, as it meets the minimum requirement. And just because the Jeep is running, does not mean that it is moving. Even in states that restrict blue lights on the front of a vehicle, it is a moving vehicle citation, if parked it's fine. I've seen some here in my area, that like to have the RGB stuff on while parked and hanging out at events, but will switch when driving.

I never said they were the DRLs. Go back a re-read what I posted. I said they are illuminated when the vehicle is running.

Even in states that restrict blue lights on the front of a vehicle, it is a moving vehicle citation, if parked it's fine.
Again, go back and re-read what I posted. I did say that it was illegal while driving and that the blue halos are intended for "off-road" use.

The OP did not state that he wanted them for use while parked. All that was said was that his wife wanted blue halos, and I pointed out that they are illegal for use while driving.

Are people being narc'd on? I'm pretty sure those pointing out the law are attempting to keep someone from getting themselves in trouble, not to narc on anyone.
I have an SSR and my fog lights have angel rings around them and mine are blue. Got stopped by the Sheriffs officer..........big no no. No ticket but you cannot run around with blue lights on the front.
Mine are capable of (via a remote) to flash blue in different patterns. Good thing I didn't have that function going...........just plain blue and cannot go that either.
