Quick question. Did you put the doors on and adjust and then just paint the exterior hinge bolts? Or remove and leave them black? Also, did you remove the lock assembly, or just tape off? Great wright up.

Thanks all, for the replies. We just drove 2 vehicles and got the doors home safe and sound. Just need to disassemble and take them to the painter. Firecracker Red !

Put the doors on and set the hinges first. Once the bolts are locked in they do not need to be removed for paint.

The lock core is simple to take off and replace. AllMoparParts can sell you 2 new cores, and the video in the above posts helps show you how to set a new core for your current key. Took me about 30 minutes setting up and completing the 1st one.

i had my guy paint the hinges separately. This way the doors maintain their adjustability after painting.

Maybe 40 minutes. Good organization is key. The lockable gas cap video on Quadratec is helpful also. Not exactly the same but close.
