Once you have it off, as others have said, do this
Thats a good idea, especially if someone is going to be removing the grill often. The only thing is; cutting off the clips is permanent but the grill isn't going anywhere with a bumper and winch in front of it. I'm really hoping I'm done removing it. Yeah right, famous last words. 😒

Isn't it easier to just remove the control box from the top of the winch?

I didn't unplug any wire when I did it. Just unbolted it from the winch, set it aside pulled the grill and modified it.

On my winch this was 4 corner bolts and 6 large battery size nuts and it was movable and tethered by the wires.
The wiring on my Jeep doesn't have the slack to just disconnect the control box, I'll have to remove the cover and disconnect so I can keep the wires in place. Then remove the entire bumper/winch unit as one piece as Flip suggested.

I saw the video before I installed my winch and bumper. If I hadn’t it’s likely I’d be too lazy to do it after the fact.

I'm not sure I like the idea of modifying the grille to make it easier to remove. I like how snug it fits without bolts. Plus, for a while there were reports going around of how easy it was to remove the grille and steal the costly led headlights.

Unfortunately it doesn't seem to matter. If they target your Jeep, they're going to get them any way they can....Including prying your grill out! 😮
