Just had to comment on how fast my 20 JL puts out heat. My driveway is 1/4 mile, and on days with the temp in the low 20’s I’m getting heat before I get to the road. Never, ever, in my 53 years of driving have I had a vehicle that produces heat this quickly. i suspect there’s an electric heat element in there but don’t actually know. What I do know is my Jeep is warm “right now” and the heater will quickly have the cabin very cozy, if not too warm. Love it!

yeah it heats up pretty fast. on the cold frosty mornings it takes about 5 minutes to defrost the windows and the cabin warm. thats in a 2 door sport. imho, theres no need for the cold weather group.

Agreed. During early morning cold starts, my JL’s HVAC also produces heat much sooner than all previous cars I’ve owned.
Edit: I don’t believe there is a heat element, I just think the engineers made the engine coolant system and the heater core very very efficient.

You may be correct, I was just speculating because it’s gets hot so quickly. My truck has me down the road a mile + before the heater starts paying off. Really like the cold weather pkg on it. With the JL I’m not missing it at all. Warm air on my hands almost immediately.

I'll have to disagree about the need for optional Cold Weather Group. How am I going to go topless in the cold months without my heated seats. Because we all know it's hard to shake the cold off a drafty backside. Once your ass is cold your done :)

The JL does have a great heater. I don't feel it is as HOT as my JK though. The JK will actually almost burn ya. It's crazy hot. A far as the Cold Weather Group? I think it is great. Love the heated seats and steering wheel.
