From the instructions, these aren't even supposed to need grease when you install them. They all came looking "deflated". At first I thought they all needed a lot of grease, but then re-read the instructions. I put one pump in each and stopped. These aren't the old style TRE boots, so no need to "inflate" them with grease. Follow the manufacturer instructions and call it good.

I over greased too on my first attempt. I was expecting them to be like the old style boots where you stopped pumping the gun when grease started seeping out from around the boot. I unscrewed the zerk fitting real quick to deflate the boot before it exploded. The JL isn't like my old farm tractor. :giggle:
