As I've stated elsewhere in this forum, my GG windshield was hit by a rock on my drive home from picking my Jeep up and instantly cracked. I watched it crack 12" over the following couple of minutes after the hit.
The warranty is clear it should be covered "once". I've had no luck with that written warranty being followed and still have a broken windshield after 2 months.
In my case, they are using the writing to deny my claim that says "damage has to be more than an inch or less than 3 inches to be covered" or something like that. My initial rock hit was probably 1/2 inch, but again, instantly grew to a large crack. I imagine most rock hits are not over 1" or less than 3", thus the wording.
Absolutely not worth buying this option.
p.s. - I thought WTH, I'll try a different dealer today (5/20) - this dealer's service rep had never even heard of Gorilla Glass or that it was an option on the Jeep! The good news is at least he took photos and said he'd submit it to FCA, but I truly don't expect a positive outcome..
