Hey friends, need some advice. I recently added a GoPro Hero 12 Black to my JLUR accessories, and I really need some advice on an easy-to-use video editor. I know you will need some idea as how I plan to use it prior to making a recommendation. I am not a YouTuber but not to rule out that sometime in the future if I thought a clip of some adventure were worthy, I might try to post a video. Mostly, I just want to be able to put various clips together, maybe with some title, a narrative, a basic editor to cut out unwanted sections and put back together with decent transitions. I am no photo/video pro and have no experience with complicated edit software (willing to learn basically). I do not have a Mac, so the IMovie software is out. I really like the free version of Power Director, but it seems you have to pay the monthly subscription fee in order to post production edit (probably not the correct term) to a YouTube account. I don't feel a $20 monthly fee would be worth what small amount that I would actually use it.

Any advice from those members on here that use their GoPros to put together some decent content?

Davinci Resolve - free version is fine for most people.

I would've used Davinci if I'd known about it at the time. I've got a several year old copy of Adobe Premiere Elements and it works fine for me. It also has Easy and Expert modes if you're just starting to edit:
