I used the suction cup mount from go pro on my JK and I also used the jaws attached to the passenger grab bar and extended over the dash with an extra gooseneck. Both seemed to work well with the hero 5 black (the image stabilization seemed to smooth out some of the bounce of the gooseneck...it doesn't move much but it's definitely not completely solid like a ram arm) - except the suction cup will come off when hit by a windshield wiper.
