Google Maps & Apple Car Play

When I have my phone plugged in and I am using goole maps the system will stop the music being played to read the next direction but then it does not switch back to the music. I find myself having to touch the radio button after every audible direction. This is slightly annoying, has anyone figured out a way to set it up so the system will go back to the radio after giving google maps directions?

I don’t have a solution to your problem, but the new iOS coming out this fall will allow 3rd party navigation apps to integrate with CarPlay, so that will solve it in the long run. I’m not sure what to do until then.

I can wait it out, hopefully this will address the issue
