I recently purchased the teeran wireless carplay adapter and noticed the annoying affect it stays on long after i have exited the car. I am looking at changing the power source to power on only for ACC mode and ignition. See link...

https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/making-center-console-usb-switched.55765/

the solution is using an unused spare powered port or tapping ("piggy backing") off an existing fuse. The link shows how they tapped F53. the challenge i have is that i've already tapped F52 for my amp and there's no room. is there another option?

Some have suggested the power mirror, but that is not viable as it's not powered at all if the doors are removed.

any other options?

seat heater? i think that only running on ignition and not acc mode???

thanks.

Fuse 45 (rear 12V outlet) is on the same power source as Fuse 52 (front 12V outlet) if that is useful.

If you have Aux switches the harness under the glove box has a Run/Acc wire.

So...the carplay adapter needs to plug either into the dash or console USB, which provides not merely power but data (i.e. the carplay adapter wouldn't work if you plugged into a power only (nor data as well) USB adapter, itself plugged, say, into the cigarette lighter), but you wish the adapter to deenergize faster when the vehicle is parked..?

I think I had your issue : https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/is-my-radio-possessed.122186/post-2557442

update... all works well! thanks for the double fuse tap suggestion...

now that i've done it... better ask... any concerns making F102 tied to ACC/Ignition vs default setting?

Solution
F102 - Reverse connected fuse tap with bottom fuse slot empty breaking the default circuit, top fuse slot connected to F52 fuse tap
F52 - double fuse tap, with 1 going to amp and the other to F102

now my other issue is finding the best wireless carplay dongle... So far i've tried the Teeran which seems fine audio quality wise, but the video is off sync (not that i watch video really often...)

i've also tried the Amzfeel however they audio quality was horrible in my experience... static and crackling at higher volumes...

any suggestions? I'm ultimately looking for the best from an audio perspective.
