Today i went to fill the dieseltank of my 2020 jl unlimited. When i left the gas station i noticed a diesel smell in the car itself. So when I arrived at home I decided to take a look under the car. At the right side(passenger side) at the back wheel you can see fuel that comes from the inside of the fender. The tank is not leaking, it seems to be coming from the back of the vehicle. So, where does it come from?

Where is you diesel fill, drivers or Passenger side? If it's on the Drivers side, on the right rear. There used to be a canister on that side and it captured fumes if IIRC. I don't know where it is on the JL. It was hard to find, as it was behind the rear of the fender liner. Mine had to be repositioned so I had to fab up a brace for it. See if you look see the bottom of the canister.

You might have had some diesel overflow in to it.

Let us know...

The fuel cap is on the driver side. I think I will call the dealership tomorrow. I’ve had a lot of problems with my wrangler the last month.

Perhaps you overfilled your tank?
