I got a killer deal on a 10th anniversary Rubicon steel bumper that I installed on my JLUR. It looks great and works perfectly so far. I have been eyeing a winch and I have been looking at what the options are. Winch plates for the steel bumpers are around $200 so it has got me thinking about buying an aftermarket bumper. My thought is that I could probably sell the Stock Steel bumper somewhere around $3-400, and I would save $200 not having to buy a winch plate.
So that basically gives me around $5-600 to spend on an aftermarket bumper and be basically the same out of pocket over a stock bumper. Thoughts on the advantages and disadvantages of aftermarket vs stock steel bumper? I like the look of the stock bumper so I have not looked too closely at aftermarket options so far.
