Does anyone know of a company besides Rock Hard that makes a skid plate for the frame side of the front lower control arms? I have the Rock Hard skids now and both sides have bent away from the LCA after sliding over some rocks. I guess that failure is not too surprising because they are only held on by one bolt on one side.
Thanks

They make some nice-ish stuff but I agree the design of that particular skid is a problem. Also the front control arm skids at the front axle, where it's hard to get enough clamping force to hold the bushing tight. They could have floated one end with a spacer through the hole in the side of the skid, allowing proper clamping of the bushing while still supporting the skid at both ends.

And if you get another set don't forget to prime and paint it before install. They rust pretty quickly.

Edit: I have some on the JT. The rear shock and control arm skids seem fine, once painted. The rear control arm frame skid I have to take off and paint, otherwise it also works fine. The FAD skid seems fine as well. I didn't get the front axle frame skid for the reason you noticed. And the front axle skids I had problems with clamping, so some day I'll drill and space them to get them to work better.
