Forum almost unusable on iPad

No problem on an iPad Pro running 11.0.1 in either landscape or portrait.

I second this. Been using an iPad mini4 the entire time.

A lot of websites do not look right on smartphones or tablets and often even when they look right, they don't act right because of having to use a touch screen instead of a separate mouse / pointing device. If I'm going on a trip, I never rely on just a smartphone or tablet, I take a laptop with me.

Viewing a forum on my iPad like this sucks!!!

I got on this forum in February and have used my IPad Air2 exclusively in landscape mode with absolutely no problems!

No issues on iOS 11.4.x or any previous versions of iOS 11 with my 5th gen iPad (2017 model).

I have the same issue and will never use Chrome. Google and Facebook know enough already. Landscape works but the ads do not resize in safari so standard portrait is not usable on air or 10.5 inch iPad. Common issue.

That’s pretty bad. I would not be able to use it like that. Mine looks normal. Is it like that in landscape and portrait?

I use it on the iPad to the only issue I get is sometimes it won’t let me post pics in existing threads.

Landscape is fine but it’s kind of silly not to be able to use a website in 2020 in portrait mode on the most popular tablet in the country. Leaves a very bad impression for first time visitors of the site. The admins may have stats on devices used to access the site.

I’ve seen this issue before on other smaller forums. I cant figure out what causes it on some iPads and not others, tries different settings. Although it may be safari.

I agree. That’s frustrating for such a popular device. I use Chrome most of the time, but I just tried this forum on Safari and it worked as normal. I’m on an iPad Pro 12.9 for reference.
